Shamrock Return Fund

Giving Back to the Place That Gave Us Everything

The Shamrock Return Program exists to ensure that the mission of DCC remains strong — both for the alumni we serve and for the school that formed us.

"A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children.

-Proverbs 13:22

DCCAAF was never created to compete with Catholic Central.
It was created to complement it.

Why Return Exists

  • As DCCAAF grows, we recognize an important responsibility:

  • Catholic Central must remain financially strong and enrollment-secure.

  • Once the Shamrock SHIELD Fund reaches a predetermined reserve threshold set by the DCCAAF board, excess funds may be allocated toward initiatives that support and strengthen the school itself.

  • This is the heart of Shamrock Return.

  • It is our commitment that when our house is strong, we help strengthen the one that built us.

How It Works

  • All initial funds flow first into the Shamrock SHIELD Fund.

  • SHIELD reserves must meet board-established thresholds.

  • Once those reserves are secured, a designated amount may be returned in support of Catholic Central.

  • All allocations are subject to DCCAAF board approval and coordination with school leadership.

This process is fluid and mission-driven — not automatic.

What Return Supports

  • Strengthening student support initiatives

  • Enrollment sustainability efforts

  • Strategic mission-aligned school needs

  • Future student formation programs

  • All distributions are collaborative and approved.

The Principle Behind It

DCCAAF protects alumni.
DCCAAF forms future leaders.
DCCAAF strengthens the institution that formed us.

Return is not repayment.
Return is partnership.

When the brotherhood is healthy, the school is strengthened.
